Cat Sitting

Okay, so first off, last blog I mentioned that I had lost my camera charger....well I found it. IT was sitting right infront of my face as I typed that very blog. It was sitting right under the moniter. So yeah, I'm blind as a (bad) bat apparantly.

So, this week while my sis is in Cancun, I'm here cat sitting her lil guy, Jack. Okay, as many know I am a dog person, and while I've never had any cats, I never hated them either. My first "cat" friend was one named Keylee (Angel's cat) and she is adorable too. I've even got some pretty good pictures of her too. I've also been around tbe boyfriend's family's cats, Gizmo and Oreo. They are also just as cute as can be, especially when Oreo comes around and just starts scratching her face on the desk corner. And let me tell you that doesn't look comfortbable AT ALL!! But she loves the side of her mouth scratched. Gizmo will just lay there and let you pet him.

Now, being around Jack for the last few days, just one on one, boy do I love that fat cat!! :) he is just so fun! Now, he is a biter though....and I'm still hoping to just keep him distracted from biting me rather than just let him bite me. My sis is his chew toy, not me. ;) And I'm sure he really misses her cause he tries but I just won't let him.

So I've discovered my own way with him. When he's in play mode he is just ready to play with anything. I've taken the one string stick and wave it over his head and he jumps at it trying to catch it. And let me tell you, watching him twist in the air and try and land on his feet is hilarious, especially when 90% of the time he does....but that 10% of the time that he has that - what to call it - lapse of judgement? Classic! Specially when hes jumping and his back claws catch on the carpet and he ends up hitting the floor a lot sooner than he had planned. Hilarious! I was dying! But yet, he just gets back up and plays some more. Other times I think he's just embarrassed that he tripped and will walk away with his tail up an pretends it didn't happen. Then turns around and plays some more.

Then there was last night (all that was today), Last night I was watching "The Painted Veil" and he curled up on my lap and let me pet him. Just like there is nothing like a kiss from a dog, there is also nothing like the purr of a cat when he's happy. My sis told me that when he wants to be nice he will, and it is true.

So, this picture is a cell phone picture I took of him after we played. He wants to play now so I better go. Pet's are the greatest. Period.

Anything to report...

Well, just taking a quick breather from the Newsletter to just post a little hello! Things have been pretty good. No more earthquake so far...guess it's just a matter of time though...

Lately my friend has been stopping by when her hubby is at work and we've been making cards. Not been able to really make them together cause I've been working on other things, but it's still been fun. She made 2 very cute designs that maybe she'll post on her own blogg.

I'm thinking of getting rid of my OCATV Blog since no one seems to look at that one anyway - so I may replace with a Cardmaking/Scrapbooking blog. Who knows. Right now, the main thing is to find my camera charger since I've misplaced it.

And what is with this weather? I mean, it's April and I'm still wearing sweatshirts and using the heater in the car! Oh well - not much I can do about it. Well, maybe me buying the canvas bags at Target and Albertson's to use instead of the plastic bags. Now I just have to remember to bring them in the store.

Well, break's over - back to work!
